Awful, just like the company

This stuff is the worst tasting protein I’ve ever tried. Couldn’t even manage to finish a shake.  Tried to return 2 bags I bought and they’re saying I’ve only returned one and are refusing to refund. Won’t be ordering again from MyProtein, terrible customer service.

Great meal ingredient

I almost never drink protein shakes, and my diet is high protein low-fat bro diet. I buy unflavored WPC from MyProtein and use it to make cakes, ice cream, desserts, add it to breakfast cereals and so on. Whether it is low-carb high-fat, or high-carb low-t, it works. However, when I want something savory, something for lunch or dinner, or something to go but not sweet, WPC does not work too well. I placed an order for unflavored Vegan Protein Blend, to use in my meal preps. It has a bland beany flavor, and mixes well. It is thicker than the same amount of WPC or Casein when mixed with the same amount of liquid. So far I used it to make soups, gravy, and pudding. I make soups, mixing with bone broth, vegs, and rice flour for increased thickness and for more carbs. I make gravy and pour over baked vegs. I find that it very easy to put together a meal with the exact macros I need. I want more carbs? I add some white rice/blended white rice/cream of rice. I want more fat? I add coconut oil. If I want a dessert I make pudding with it, mixing it with raw organic cacao powder, organic defatted peanut flour, sugar/sweetener, and coconut oil. I have yet to bake with it, but I will definitely try breads, and quiche crust, pizza base, savory protein tray bake bars, and so on. With my current macros of 540C/300P/84F I have no problem with fitting Vegan Protein Blend into my diet.

Great taste however the mix ability isn’t great, it’s quite a grainy texture. However overall it’s a good vegan protein powder and does the job.

Not bad

I opted for this vegan protein blend over the whey and pea isolate alternatives and after a few months of use, it has been OK. I buy the unflavoured version and as some have said, it doesn't taste great with just water. Although, I usually add unsweetened almond milk, water, one banana and peanut butter, which tastes much better. I find that it also mixes well, providing enough water or milk is used. As for the effectiveness, it's OK. I've seen some lean gain, but to be fair, it has only been a few months. In my opinion, it works best post-workout and just before meals, but it does provide a good energy boost pre-workout. I'll probably try the pea isolate product next. A note: I'd advise to weigh what you use, if possible, as I found the included scoop to be quite inaccurate.

Terribly disapointed

Used the Impact Whey Protein for a couple of years and was really happy with the product on every aspect. Wanted to try this Vegan blend for a change, but it turns out to be horrible. Taste is not good, mix well but create a thick paste like concrete which make the shake undrinkable whatever the amount of liquid you mix with. Used it for a week and that was a real pain to ingest it. Very sad for the waste of money, as I've thrown the product away.

Love this stuff! After becoming lactose intolerant it's a great alternative to normal whey protein. Its chalkier to drink but not to the point that it bothers me!

Grainy very grainy

Starting veganuary I wanted to make sure I had enough protein in my diet so bought the strawberries and cream vegan blend. I didn’t see some of the earlier reviews warning about it being so grainy and they are not wrong! I’ve tried mixing it with everything and blending it but it just keeps a very powdery grainy taste that isn’t enjoyable. The smell is good and the general taste of the flavour I’m not against but with how grainy it is I don’t think I’ll be keeping this protein around!

Better Than Others

I don't like shakes so I just put this in my porridge it does the job. Taste is good enough, I've been using it for 1+ year and have no complaints. Suggestion for MyProtein, in 2020 single use plastic is an issue, why do you give a plastic scoop with every single product? After using various MP products for years I've collected far too many scoops, as would 1000's of others. Maybe just give the option 'do you want a scoop included?'. Also excessive plastic in the packaging. Other than these issues would be 10/10 just poor packaging/ environmental reasons knocks some points off.

Looking for vegan protein options is a big problem so this definitely fits my requirement. I mix the chocolate flavour with frozen bananas and almond milk. Great for those who are avoiding dairy completely.
